The Marist Missionary Sisters’ presence in Jamaica began at the Hansen Home, where they responded to a special call to serve those who were marginalized and often forgotten. Living close to the residents, the sisters offered compassionate care, pastoral presence, and dignity, sharing daily life with them. Their ministry at the Hansen Home became a strong witness to the Marist spirit of simplicity, humility, and love, and marked an important chapter in the history of the congregation in Jamaica.
